Alright 02:58
She wore a cigarette Like a diamond ring And she drove a shopping cart That held all her things. She lived downtown Where the streets have no name She hoped that things would change But they stayed just the same. But she was alright. Alright. She was alright. Alright. She had one friend, His name was the moon. So she called him every night And sang him a tune. She had one foe, His name was the sun. So she walked in shadows And avoided everyone. But she was alright. Alright. She was alright. Alright. She woke up one morning to find She wouldn't wake up Oh no, no no. And all the people walked on by They didn't even try to see if she Was alright. Alright. She was alright. Alright. She kept his photograph in a locket on a chain But she never looked at it 'Cause it caused her too much pain. But when they found her They called him downtown And he broke down, 'Cause after all those years, She still had on her wedding gown. But she was alright. Alright. She was alright. Alright.

I'm a good girl, Love my Mama Love Jesus, And America too. I'm a good girl, Crazy 'bout Elvis Love horses And my boyfriend too. It's a long day Living in Reseda There's a freeway Runnin' through the yard And you're a bad boy 'Cause you don't even miss me You're a bad boy For breakin my heart And I'm free Free fallin, fallin. And I'm free Free fallin, fallin. All the vampires, Walking through the valley They move west on Ventura Boulevard And all the bad boys Are standin in the shadows And all the good girls Are at home with broken hearts. And I'm free Free fallin, fallin. And I'm free Free fallin, fallin. I'm gonna glide down Over Mullholland I'm gonna write his His name in the sky. I'm gonna free fall Out into nothing I'm gonna leave this This world for a while. And I'm free Free fallin, fallin. And I'm free Free fallin, fallin.

How Come 04:22
How come when it rains it pours How come I open doors When I'm not quite sure. How come when thew chips are down and no one's around I wanna cry out loud When I think I'm right, I change my mind And tell myself that I don't really know anymore. How come the sky is blue One and one make two Why don't I look like you?\\How come I don't understand Why you''d take my hand Why you'd be my man When I think it's good, I misunderstood And tell myself that I don't really know anymore. How come The wind blows? How come The tears flow? If I knew I'd tell you I'd tell you if I knew But I don't know I don't know And if you ask me why, I might just lie oh, I wish that I could tell you But I don't know (How come) How come I would change the world For my baby girl How come my heart stands still? How come what we sew we reap Why can't I fall asleep How come I feel so weak When I think it's good, I misunderstood And tell myself that I don't really know anymore. How come The wind blows? How come The tears flow? If I knew I'd tell you I'd tell you if I knew But I don't know I don't know And if you ask me why, I might just lie oh, I wish that I could tell you But I don't know. (How come) How come there is war on earth Babies die at birth How come the rich come first? How come? I don't know. How come?

I didn’t know it, but I got myself caught up in the middle - what can I say? I didn’t show it, but I sure know I thought it just a little - every day. Oh, no - it’s got me again. All over again. It’s got me again. If I was stronger I could rise above it, but I doubt it - that isn’t me. If I waited longer, I could surprise and love it, ‘cause without it - it’s misery. Oh, no - it’s got me again. All over again. It’s got me again. I’m no different than you, all I’ve got is an obsession - can’t let it go. There is nothing I can do, I won’t ever learn my lesson - I can’t say no. Oh, no - it’s got me again. All over again. It’s got me again.

It's so dark, even the stars have gone to bed What are those dreams all going on inside your head Baby, baby, are you mine for keeps? Now wake up baby, it's time to get some sleep. It's past your bedtime as the sandman waves goodbye He's pouring stardust in the corners of your eyes Baby, baby, my love for you runs deep. Now wake up baby, it's time to get some sleep. Wake up and dream Ride a moonbeam I'll meet you up there, Where the grass is much more green, baby Wake up and dream. Now close your eyes and lay your heavy head right down As little pixies dance in circles all around Baby, baby, are you mine for keeps Now wake up baby, it's time to get some sleep. Wake up and dream Ride a moonbeam I'll meet you up there, Where the grass is much more green, baby Wake up and dream.

The days are dark, and getting darker Now it's snowing too, can you believe? I've never felt any farther Away from you on Christmas Eve In the winter, you are there and I am here Why can't Christmas be in summer this year? Then we could hang mistletoe from our earlobes And build snowmen out of sand We'd drink iced eggnog in the sunshine While our bare skin gets tan Why can't Why can't Why can't Christmas be in Summertime? The Christmas lights and decorations Hanging up above the Christmas tree But I don't feel like celebrations Without the ones I love here with me In the winter, you are there and I am here Why can't Christmas be in summer this year? We could hang Christmas lights on Midsummer's night With our stockings in our hands We'd sing Christmas carols by the campfire With our bare toes in the sand Why can't Why can't Why can't Christmas be in Summertime?

about

The 6-track acoustic EP "The Orcas Sessions" is a production inspired by Orcas Island and lasting friendships, regardless of distance.

It was recorded in Hideout Studio on Orcas Island, WA in the United States, by third member of This is lizzard, American singer/guitarist/bassist, Gene Nery. Additional recording, mixing and mastering took place in the Netherlands by co-founder of the band, Roland Stolk.

After working thirteen years towards their debut album, "Won't Give Up" also available here on Bandcamp at thisislizzard.bandcamp.com , This is lizzard was determined not to wait too long before releasing a second album. "The Orcas Sessions" includes an original Christmas song and an intimate live cover of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'".

"The Orcas Sessions" is released under Australian label, Blue Pie Records.
